About Us

IQ Storage was founded in 2001. IQ Storage provides mission-critical data storage and backup solutions for enterprises, government organizations, and multi-billion dollar companies. IQ Storage systems are designed for real-time data use as well as backup. Each account uses multiple backup systems to guarantee data is always available.
IQ Storage uses an extensive intercontinental internal network backbone to ensure data transfer is always fast. Internal nodes are located in Toronto, overseas in London (UK), as well as in New York, Montreal, Vancouver, Chicago, Dallas and more. There are no limitations set on transfer speeds. Using this internal backbone, IQ Storage offers 500+ KM offsite backup services for disaster recovery.
The largest issue with finding IT solutions is the difficulty of getting prompt, professional technical support for all users of the system. IQ Storage eliminates this problem by focusing on technical support on all levels. End users, whether they are your employees or your clients, can call our phone support or be contacted on your request. This frees up busy IT staff from having to deal with individual connection issues.

Executive Team

Simon Lightstone – CEO

As the founder of IQ Storage in 2001, Simon was quick to see the unique need for an online file storage service designed for businesses. As the former owner of Lightspeed, an IT solutions company, Simon realized the serious problems of the increasing value of data, data coordination and backup while leading project development teams. Having formerly dealt with the frustrations of data loss, file coordination and a wide array of data management problems, Simon used his vision to build a company that was specifically designed to provide the reliability, support, ease-of-use and pieces-of-mind that businesses require.

Simon ensures that all support staff at IQ Storage are not only trained in technical support, but in client relations and business networking. By encouraging a human connection with each business that uses IQ Storage, a relationship is built that creates further recommendation, word of mouth and a positive industry reputation. Simon stays as an active observer of the entire client communications and support process to ensure that there is proper integration between sales, retention and support.

A graduate from the University of Toronto with a double-major in computer science and political sciences, Simon undertook a wide variety of research projects in the field of human-computer interaction. He led and participated in research teams responsible for VR systems, interface design and next-generation technology.

Full of energy, Simon's entrepreneurial passion and keen sense of business coupled with a strong knowledge of how people use technology has kept IQ Storage growing at a fast pace since its inception.
