 After logging
into your control panel, adding sub-accounts is easy! When
you create a sub-account a new folder is created inside
your main FTP files account. This new folder is the only
folder that your sub account has access to.
For example,
say you have an associate named John Jones with whom you
want to share files. You can create a sub account called
johnjones and give it any password you would
like. A folder inside your account called johnjones will be created, and when
the sub-account user johnjones logs in he will only have access
to that folder. Therefore, you can now safely give your
associate John the username and password for his sub-account and he will not have access to any other files on
your account except for the ones in his own folder. You
can also restrict upload or download access to his
sub-account.
Using this system you can
simply share your files among your clients,
employees or coworkers. |
